One-Punch Man, originally a popular manga series and more recently an anime and video game, is about to make the transition to another medium with Sony’s announcement that a One punch man Hollywood live-action movie adaptation is in the works.
Saitama from One-Punch Man is ready to take on the big screen after becoming a massive hit in the anime world. According to Deadline,

Justin Lin, the previous Fast & Furious director, is directing the One Punch Man live-action film.
Shueisha, the publishing company behind One Punch Man, has sold the film rights to Sony Pictures. Arad Productions, which has previously worked on films such as Venom, Ghost in the Shell, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and X-Men, will produce a one-punch man Hollywood live-action movie.
Writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, two who previously worked on A Film Jumanji: The Next Level and Venom, are writing the script for the One Punch Man film. The film’s production is set to begin at the end of the year.

Justin Lin, the film’s director and producer, is well-known for directing several films in the popular Fast and Furious franchise. Due to creative differences with Vin Diesel, he recently left the Fast and Furious franchise as a director.
Although no information about the cast has been released, fans are eager to learn who will play their favourite bald superhero, Saitama. It should be noted that Hollywood’s live-action attempts at anime have not been successful thus far. Fans gave some live-action films, such as Dragon Ball Evolution and Death Note (live-action film), below-average ratings.
